Reverend Chris Cooper and his wife Maydee answered the call in March 2017 to serve as the Lead Pastor of Niagara Falls First Assembly and it’s daughter church, Nickel City in Kenmore, NY. Pastor Chris and his wife are passionate about serving the LaSalle community and city of Niagara Falls.
Pastor Chris believes God gave him the gifts of leadership development, administration, and preaching/teaching the Word of God to achieve success for God’s glory.
Prior to Niagara Falls, Pastor Chris and Maydee were the founding pastors of Destiny Christian Center in Syracuse, NY, where they served from 2003 to 2017. This multi-ethnic church grew and gave birth to two ethnic churches, Destiny’s African Nation Church, which was home to our brothers and sisters who are refugees from Africa, and Syracuse Aradhana Church, which was home to a Bhutanese Nepali congregation.
Pastor Chris gained his education in Pastoral Ministry at the Berean School of the Bible through Global University. Prior to receiving his Ministerial Credentials, he worked over 20 years in the field of Business Management. Pastor Chris and Maydee have been married for 40 years and are the proud parents of three boys, Ryan, Michael, and Justin, all married. Their sons and families are faithfully serving the Lord in various ministries. Pastor Chris has a strong heart to reach out to the lost, but when he is relaxing his favorite pastimes are golfing and fishing.
