What happens during the service?
When you come in the auditorium, you'll be given a copy of "The Bulletin" which has the week's announcements and a description of the day's service. You'll notice the Bulletin has a tear-off slip ("The Connection Card"), which is an easy way for us to get better acquainted; you can ask for any kind of information or assistance using the Connection Card.
The service usually begins with some upbeat music, followed by a welcome and introduction to the theme of the day's service. A worship service of contemporary music will be followed by a time of prayer before the pastor brings the message for the day. On the first Sunday of the month, we celebrate Holy Communion which is open to all believers. The message is usually 30-40 minutes and presents a topic relevant to daily life. The message will be based on the Bible presented simply with use of PowerPoint and other audiovisuals. The offering and Connection Cards will be collected after the message to allow everyone an opportunity to provide feedback or request information. Some weeks, there may be an “invitation” to come forward for prayer or to respond in some way to the challenge given in the message. The entire service usually lasts about 90 minutes.
