Haiti

It's been a year and a half since the nation of Haiti suffered a devastating earthquake, leaving millions of people homeless. Over 250,000 people lost their lives. This already struggling nation has been left in shambles.

The leadership team here at First Assembly had already felt led by God to focus mission efforts on the nation of Haiti months before the earthquake. We know that God has specifically directed us to reach out to this country and demonstrate his love and compassion in tangible ways.

Our missionaries are working endlessly to oversee building projects; start schools; set up medical clinics; and offer feeding programs to children through Convoy of Hope. Convoy of Hope has provided more than 9 million meals and distributed 4 million pounds of food, water filters, hygiene kits and other supplies since the earthquake.
